WELCOME TO BOY SCOUT TROOP 68 FARMINGTON, CONNECTICUT

Troop 68 on Mount Washington in New Hampshire, August 2010

Chartered in 1919, Troop 68 is Farmington's oldest Boy Scout Troop and among the oldest continuously chartered troops in Connecticut.
We are sponsored by the Exchange Club of Farmington.

The Boy Scouts of America was founded 100 years ago on February 8, 1910.  Since then more thatn 111 million youth have participated in Scouting's traditional programs, including 248 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.  In the past four years alone, scouting youth and their leadeers have volunteered more than 6,500,000 hours of service in their communities through more than 75,000 service projects.  The Boy Scouts of America seeks to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activitities and projects.
